Award-winning designer Robert Esterley, Allied ASID creates a stunning tabletop showcase with Brasserie Pascal in ASID Orange County Chapter To Dine For, the prestigious Orange County culinary and interior design event

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – The Orange County chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers presents the 2010 ASID Orange County Chapter To Dine For event on March 25th, combining some of California’s best interior designers with the area’s best culinary talent.

This elegant, one-night-only event will auction off exquisitely set tables, created by ten of Orange County’s top designers, including award-winning designer Robert Esterley. The highest bidder will receive a meal for six created by the restaurant’s chef, served at their home where the designer will set a table exactly as it was at the To Dine For event. The proceeds will benefit Orange County charity Miracles For Kids.

Teaming with Newport Beach’s Brasserie Pascal, known for its French Modern cuisine, Esterley designed a subtle yet stunning table design inspired by French fashion icons Coco Chanel and Christian Lacroix. Inspired by his trips to Paris, Esterley blends traditional elegance with modern design, using crisp, white china and a sleek silver flatware.

“I wanted the winner to experience the romance and beauty of Paris,” comments Robert Esterley. “This table looks like what one might expect if they had had the pleasure of being invited to a dinner party hosted by Coco Chanel herself.”

Esterley’s two-tiered floral centerpiece—a tribute to the recently retired Lacroix’s iconic pouf skirt—draws the eye down to the chocolate brown satin tablecloth accented with chartreuse napkins and crystal details. Robert Esterley was featured in the March 2010 issue of Riviera magazine, along with his To Dine For tabletop design. Robert Esterley founded his Orange County-based design firm in 1989, and has brought his Midwestern sensibility and East Coast sophistication to Southern California. From exceptional event décor to high-end residential interiors, Robert has gained a reputation for consistently exceeding his clients’ expectations. The To Dine For event will be held at 49 Beach View Avenue, The Strand at Headlands in Dana Point on March 25th, and is open to the public from 11AM through to 4PM. The private party, by invitation only, lasts from 6PM to 9PM.
